Senior Pastor

After graduating from Bible College in 1986 and serving for two years in churches in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area Pastor John felt God leading him to Bastrop with the sole purpose of planting a church. Single and at 23 yrs. of age Pastor John held his first Sunday service in Bastrop in March of 88. Pastor John thought he would only be in the Bastrop area for a few years but God had different plans, it has been 33 years that he has been the pastor of Celebration Community Church. He has a beautiful wife, Vicky, and five wonderful children. His heart’s desire is to see others have a genuine, personal, life changing encounter with Christ.

Childrens Director

Lindsey has been a passionate Christian for 22 years and began attending Celebration in early 2023. After serving as a volunteer in the children’s ministry for three years, she felt God’s clear call to ministry. As a follower of Christ, she believes her mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of all people—including children! Her vision is to fulfill the Great Commission by teaching children the truth of God’s word, showing them the love of Jesus Christ, and nurturing their spiritual, social, and emotional development.

Lindsey holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and has worked as a pediatric occupational therapist, giving her a unique set of skills to support her role as director. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young daughters, and in her free time, she likes cooking, reading, and painting.

Worship Pastor

Ben has been a Christ follower since childhood and has spent most of his life playing and singing in church. He believes that the worship God desires must be done in spirit and in truth.  Being a professional musician, who teaches, performs, and leads worship, he knows it is critical to carry our faith into all aspects of life.  Ben has been the worship leader at Celebration for nearly a decade now, and believes that the best days are still ahead if we walk in humility and keep Jesus first.

Administrative Pastor

Jorey serves as the Administrative Pastor at Celebration Community Church, where he oversees the church’s finances and manages many of its administrative operations. He has attended Celebration for over 26 years and officially joined the staff in May 2025. In addition to his administrative role, Jorey enjoys helping teach in the children's ministry.

Before stepping into ministry, he worked as a Finance Manager for the federal government, leading efforts in accounting, budgeting, and purchasing. Jorey is passionate about supporting the mission of the church through faithful stewardship and behind-the-scenes service. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, and in his free time, he loves golfing, reading, and cooking.

Technology Pastor

Jerry serves a staff Pastor and the Technical Director with a passion for loving people in our church and the community.  He has over 40 years experience in Church leadership serving in various roles including Youth Pastor, children’s & family ministry, and biblical studies teacher.  He has served at Celebration Community since 1999, retired from Verizon after 32 years in Information Technology, has four married children, enjoys camping, hiking, watching the Cowboys, and spending time with his grandkids. ​
